The dormakaba MK397 is a carry bar for use with a mortised sequence selector. The MK 397 concealed carry bar is used for double-leaf doors equipped with a sequence selector (coordinator).

When an attempt is made to open the passive leaf of a double-leaf door first, the carry bar mounted on the passive leaf will reliably push the active leaf forward (for example, in the case of emergency exit doors equipped with panic hardware), and the coordinator, in turn, will ensure the correct closing sequence of the leaves.
